I like to wash my hair with Suave clarifying shampoo. I get it at the dollar store. Then I use the conditioner. No need for expensive products.
I had been using Let's Jam styling gel (SoftSheen Carson) then I used Jamaican Mango & Lime gel (Professional Products Unlimited LLC). These are great but I felt they left my hair with too much buildup.
I now use Twists n' Locs Natural Chocolate Locking Formula (Nature's Image Products Inc). I find this is lighter and smells great.
Make sure you cover your hair at night. Every once in a while I will use some Carol's Daughter hair oils because I love the smell especially the Khorent Ahmen. But these are costly and I'm not a rich woman.
In the morning I will put some Mango & Lime oil because I get dry scalp...and then I am good to go!
But this is after years of trials and error. It can be hard to find the right products. And then it also depends on what you like at the time.
I love my hair and will keep trying to keep it looking as nice as possible. I have gone to a loctician maybe 4 times. I can do just as good a job as them so this would be a treat.
Keeping it locked,
Peace!
