Reader Dreadlocks Styles: Started in 2004 with dread wax

I went natural first and then decided to go ahead by starting my dreadlocks myself. I started twisting my hair with beeswax.

The strands were very thin, but as my hair continued to grow, the locks became thicker...I didn't have any previous experience with dreads on my hair or anyone else's.

I refuse for anyone to do my hair but me.

This picture was Mar. 2009, but they are now to my lower back
