Reader Dreadlocks Styles: Wavy Traditional Long Dreads

I have been growing my locks for almost 6 years. They are 18 inches in length now. August 31st is my "lockaversary."

The hardest part of my journey was the decision to lock up. I wore braids for a long time mixed with perms.

Since I loved braids so much I decided to lock it up after 10 years of procrastinating. I am truly 'Happy to be Nappy.'

I love my dreads!

I took care of them for over 5 years myself. I started going to a locktician in February 2011 and visit once a month. I am quite pleased with her.
